Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7

Father, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.

Prayer Request

Dear Sir/Madam,
Hello, I used to have a friend and relative that I believe attends your church, and I am a believer and weekly church attender where I live in NE Ohio, and I realize that I dont attend here, but saw that you had a prayer chain, and I was hoping it would be alright if I shared a prayer request concern and burden. I realize that its a lot to ask when I dont attend here, but you can feel free to add my email address to your prayer chain, since I would be happy to pray for others requests as well, since I am asking a lot in requesting prayer for myself, but my prayer request is:

My father is in his 70s and has always been in great health. He has had a cough for quite a while that has persisted, and they did an X-ray and found that he had a legion in the upper left lung and they need to do another x-ray to decipher what it is. Although the Dr. mentioned to him on the phone that he believes everything is okay, it has me really really worried, that its something serious like lung cancer. His cough has been better for a week since he has taken antibiotics and doesnt seem to have any of the symptoms of lung cancer, and he has never smoked, but I am just really uneasy until they find out the results. If you could please pray for my father and for a healing touch and that its not anything serious, I would greatly appreciate it.
And I too would be more than happy to prayer for any requests on your prayer chain, since I am asking for a favor of great magnitude with asking for prayer when I dont live near/attend

Thank you very much.
Sincerely, Ali
